NBE To Conduct AIPGMEE, AIIMS To Be Set Free

AIIMS to be set free from the resposibility, Entrance Exam will be High-Tech 50% of the seats in Govt. medical colleges will be filled through this exam

All India Medical Institute of Medical Science is to be freed from the resposibility of the Medical PG Entrance Exams. The Central Ministry of Health has decided to handover the responsibility to NBE(national Board of Examinations) An Affidavit regarding the same will be soon submitted to the Supreme court.

The new system will be applicable from the next year.The examination process will become high-tech.The chances for leakage of question or duplicate copies will be very less.One of the Officers from the Central Ministry of Health said that NBE had conducted National Eligibility Cum Entrance Exam for PG admission. More than 90,000 candidates had taken part in it.The result was good and so the Ministry has decided to handover the resposibility of conducting the All India Post Graduate medical Entrance Examination(AIPGMEE) to NBE.

Why the change in System?

AIIMS had been doing the process of filling 50% of the PG seats in all the Central and State Govt. medical colleges for long time. But the responsibilities of AIIMS has been increased.6 news AIIMS have been added and AIIMS only have to conduct MBBS and PG entrance exams there also .So they have decided to free AIIMS from the responsibility of conducting Entrance exam for PG course.

This is the present System

In country’s 168 govt. colleges there are 10,000 PG seats.AIIMS and PGI (Chandigarh) conduct their own exams.Remaining colleges will fill 50% of their seats through AIPGMEE.
